Web analysis

Provided you declare your consent on access, this website will use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited. The operating standard used is Universal Analytics. This makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions on several devices to a single pseudonymous user ID, thus facilitating analysis of the user’s activities regardless of the device used.

The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, as we have activated IP anonymisation on this website and concluded an appropriate contract processing agreement with Google, Google will first shorten your IP address within the European Union member states or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google is certified in accordance with the so-called “Privacy Shield” (list entry). Google guarantees an appropriate level of data protection.

You can prevent the data generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website (including your IP address) from being sent to and processed by Google by down-loading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=uk.

Alternatively, you can prevent your data from being collected by Google Ana-lytics – particularly in the case of mobile end devices – by clicking on the fol-lowing link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. An opt-out cookie will then be placed on your device which will prevent your data from being col-lected on future visits to this website.

Data collection through social media

We use social media to communicate with customers and interested parties who are active members of these networks and inform them about our services. As advertisers, we collect data to pursue our legitimate interest of improving the user experience.

Please note that this user data may also be processed outside the European Union. This can for example make it more difficult for the user to exercise their rights. With regard to U.S. providers certified under the Privacy Shield, please note that they have pledged to adhere to the E.U.’s data protection standards.

The user’s data is also usually processed for advertising and market research purposes. For this purpose, cookies are placed on the user’s end device to store information about their website use and interests.

The user’s personal data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in communicating with and effectively providing information for users pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Should the providers of the respective platforms require the user’s consent to the processing of their data as described above, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 7 GDPR.

Please refer to the links to each provider set out below for detailed descriptions of the respective types of processing, information on how you can opt out, and requests for information.

Functions and content provided by the following services may be integrated into our website. These include subscriptions to our content and interaction with our channel. If the user is a member of the respective platform, the social media network can assign the user’s action to their profile on this platform. If you wish to make sure that the social media network cannot display advertising, please adjust your profile settings accordingly (opt-out). Further information on data protection and how to opt out is provided in the following list.

The following data is logged for this purpose on the basis of our legitimate interest:

The IP address is erased from all systems used in connection with the operation of this website after a maximum of 7 days. We are no longer able to determine your iden-tity on the basis of the data that remains.

The data is also used to identify and correct errors on the website.

Integration of social plug-ins

Facebook plug-in

The social plug-in provided by the social media network facebook.com (Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2) is integrated into our website. The plug-in is identifiable from the respective logo or the “Like” button on our page.

When you visit our page, the plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Through this connection, Facebook receives the information that you have visited our page along with your IP address and collects your personal data. If you click on the social media icons while you are logged in to your Facebook account, you can link to the content of our pages on your profile. This enables Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. Fur-ther information is provided in Facebook’s data policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation

If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to our pages with your user account, please log out beforehand. If you want to be certain that Facebook cannot display interest-based advertising, please adjust your profile settings accord-ingly (opt-out): https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen.

Google Ads | Remarketing

Our website uses the Google Ads service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gor-don House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Ads is an internet ad-vertising service which allows advertisers to insert advertisements in Google search results and the Google advertising network. Google Ads enables us as advertisers to predefine certain keywords and target groups so that an advertisement is only showed in the results returned by the Google search engine when the user clicks on a search result that is relevant to one of these keywords. The advertisements in the Google advertising network are distributed between subject-appropriate websites by means of an automatic algorithm and with due attention to the predefined keywords and target groups. The purpose of Google Ads is to promote our website by display-ing interest-based advertising on the websites of third companies and in the results returned by the Google search engine.

We also use the remarketing function provided by the Google Ads service. This func-tion enables us to target our advertising by delivering personalised, interest-based advertisements to visitors to our website when they visit other sites in the Google dis-play network or use Google’s search engine. Google uses so-called cookies to per-form the analysis of website use which forms the basis for the creation of interest-based advertising. Whenever you use Google services or visit websites in the Google advertising network, Google stores a cookie in your browser. This cookie collects information about your website visits. It enables both us and Google to determine whether you generated income, i.e. completed or cancelled a product purchase, when you reached our website through clicking on an ad.

The cookie is used to store personal information such as the websites you have visit-ed. This means that whenever you visit our website, personal data including the IP address of your internet connection is transmitted to Google. This personal data is stored by Google. In certain circumstances, Google may transmit the personal data collected by technical means to third parties.

You can prevent our website from placing cookies as described above at any time by adjusting the settings of the web browser you are using, thus permanently rejecting the use of cookies. Adjusting your browser settings in this way also prevents Google from placing a cookie on your information technology systems. Furthermore, any cookie already placed by Google Ads can be deleted at any time through the web browser or other software programs.

Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies by third parties by accessing the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and following the opt-out instructions provided there. You can also object to the display of interest-based advertising by Google. For this, you need to click on the link https://www.google.de/settings/ads from each of the web browsers you use and adjust the settings accordingly.

You can obtain further information and access Google’s privacy policy by clicking on https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=de.
